Every user on steemit knows that having influence on the platform depends on the amount of vested STEEM possessed. This is known as Steem power. The amount of steem power owned by a user determines if a user is either a redfish or a whale.

How do you get SP

You can get steem power via the following means

• From Author rewards
• From curation rewards
• Buying STEEM, then powering up
• Lease steem power (Delegation)

For minnows, making it on steemit is not an easy task, daily posts, commenting on other users blog and hoping that you get quality upvotes. At the end of the day you get 0. something on your post.

More steem power is also needed before you can have curation rewards. Now it come down to buying the SP, this is obviously for the rich, most were not in the days when steem price was low. You need a considerable amount of money before you can buy enough steem power. The only option left is leasing SP for some amount and for a specified number of weeks.

When will you have that enormous steem power, when will you exert influence on other users post.

Having influence on other people post can be through commenting or resteeming and upvoting, but the most appreciated especially by minnows is quality upvotes. Most users like @hr1 @shaka @surpassinggoogle are noted for curating quality posts. 1 out of 10 of steemit users have been upvoted by this users more than once. This is the type of influence that is mostly appreciated.

There are a couple of sites that you can lease steempower from, once your lease request is met by someone willing to meet your terms. However, as easy as it may sound, the price to pay is too much and not economy wise.

So in this respect I appeal to interested users who have some steem power to delegate to come forth and help.
