Venom Charcoal Sketch
I had a bit of fun playing with charcoal. It's not a medium I had used very much before so there was a lot of trial and error involved. I enjoyed the challenge of working with a new medium.
I livestreamed the drawing process onto Instagram. We found this awesome phone clamp which works really well. I will still figure out how to get this rig working on dLive.
Using a soft brush, I smudged and spread the charcoal around to create softer shading on the face.
Then I did the detailing pass, pressing hard on the charcoal and getting those hard lines in.
Flash just wanted to get up on my lap 😄. Any time I sit down Flash comes for some butt patts, flicking me with his tail if I dare stop petting him.
