Treats For Toys Campaign // Mainan Yuk :)
Hello There :)
The other day the kids and I were having fun with Rice Krispies, they always have this fun program whenever Christmas is here, called Treats For Toys, where we can create fun stuff, especially toys-like, and submit to the company, which then each treat-toy people make, the company would donate toys to the less fortunate (kids). Unfortunately you have to be at least 13 years of age for submitting your treat-toy, which is so unfair because we have been making since the other years too and we could never submit ours due to the boys' young age(s).
Anyways...we keep creating for ourselves :) They are delish nevertheless.

Tempo hari aku dan anak-anak sibuk mainan dengan Rice Krispies, ada ga yah di Indonesia, sepertinya ada deh, dah ga ingat wkwkwk
Anyway buysway. Disini tuh kalau mau Natalan, pabrik Rice Krispies tuh mengadakan semacam sayembara gitu, dimana setiap anak-anak yang berusia setidaknya 13 tahun (ke atas), boleh mengirimkan foto hasil karya mereka menggunakan Rice Krispies, dan setiap karya yang dikirimkan, pabrik/perusahaan Rice Krispies akan memberi hadiah mainan gratis ke anak-anak yang kurang mampu.
Sayangnya meski tiap tahun anak-anak bikin, kami ga bisa ikutan karena mereka masih dibawah 13 tahun hehe
If last year I had to order vegan marshmallow from Amazon.com, this year we found some at our local health food store, but they did not have the regular white ones, only pumpkin flavored ones, so needless to say our Rice Krispies treats tasted like pumpkin pie instead lol
The boys decorated their treats with whatever they got from Halloween's trick or treats back in October :D
Kalau tahun lalu tuh aku kudu pesan/beli marshmallow khusus tanpa gelatin, dari Amazon, namun tahun ini kebetulan nemu marshmallow yang tanpa produk hewani, di toko lokal, namun sayangnya mereka hanya menjual marshmallow khusus Halloween tempo hari, yaitu ada rasanya, rasa pai labu kuning hahahha Jadi Rice Krispies ciptaan anak-anak rasa lapis legit deh :D
Here is how we made our veganish Rice Krispies treats - veganish because while the treats are vegan, some of the decorations are not.
- 2 tbsp vegan margarine
- 250 g vegan marshmallow
- 3 c Rice Krispies
- a handul of DF chocolate chips
- Smarties, M nMs, gummies, or what have you
Nih yah cara bikinnya kalau mau coba juga, mainan sama anak-anak dirumah :D
- 2 sdm margarin
- 250 g marshmallow
- 3 gelas Rice Krispies
- cokelat leleh secukupnya
- cokelat dan permen sesuai selera
- Melt margarine, stir in marshmallow and cook on medium-high until melted
- Stir in Rice Krispies, take off from heat
- Mold/roll and cut
- Decorate/attach candies and chocolate with melted chocolate
ENJOY!
- Lelehkan margarin, masukkan marshmallow, masak di api sedang hingga meleleh
- Masukkan Rice Krispies, aduk hingga rata
- Cetak langsung atau gilas rata lalu cetak dengan cetakan kue kering
- Hias dengan permen/cokelat, tempelkan dengan cokelat leleh
Jadi deh :D
