Can there ever be a friend like this Jesus who helps and can deliver from both sin and self, is there a help anywhere too big for him to handle? He has said that come unto me all ye that labour and are heavy laden and I will give you rest.
Jesus can truly give rest, and he is a true friend indeed, he has the power over sin and self, he can do that which only Him can do.
All those who have ever put there trust in God has never been put to shame before and never will they. God is in the midst of his people and he will truly deliver.

I grew up singing this song at my Cornelius Community Baptist Church in Cornelius, Oregon, United States of America (USA). The state of Oregon is above California and under Canada and next to the Pacific Ocean. I grew up around farmland in a logging city of about 20,000 people. Born in 1985, in Forest Grove. I really enjoy singing these types of songs. We had missionaries, when I was a kid, I think their names were Bill and Heather Williams, and they went off to the Ivory Coast. So, when I was about maybe five years old, I started hearing and learning about Africa a little.
