This week we featured no post. Instead, we did a New Year's special where the contestants were asked to write a New Year's greeting or to share a New Year memory or story. To make it extra challenging we encouraged the micro-fiction theme, introduced in last round's featured post by @jayna. So the contestants were told to try to aim for exactly 50 words.

The 1st prize this week I have awarded @wonderwop. It was a classical greeting, a message with love and with the reminder of helping out the people in need around us. @wonderwop also managed to hit exactly the 50 word-count. Well done and Happy New Year!

@cryptobychirag shared a story with us following the same theme as above, about love and charity. It was a story from @cryptobychirag's days in school, where they decided to do a good deed for New Year, by giving away clothes to the homeless in their city. @cryptobychirag also perfectly made it with 50 words.
