The Role of Parents in Forming the Religion Attitude of Elementary School Children in Nga MU Village Lhoksukon District

Children are the mandate given by God to parents, so parents are obliged to maintain, maintain and pay attention to the mandate by educating their children to know and devote themselves to God. The role of parents means that parents are also responsible for positive and negative behaviors carried out by their children so that a good child religious attitude will be formed.
The role of parents in a family is very important for a child. This is because with the role possessed by the parents it will affect the behavior of children in forming their religious attitudes. Educating and teaching children about the science of Islam is actually the obligation of parents because the family is the first and foremost center of education for a child.

The role of parents in forming religious attitudes of children, especially children of primary school age, from one another is certainly different. This is based on the problems of different parents' education and their work. In this case, the author will explain the forms of parents' role in shaping the diversity of attitudes of elementary school-age children based on the research that the author has done in the Nga MU Village Lhoksukon District.

Based on interviews that the author has done with parents who have elementary school age children as a sample of research in Gampong Nga MU District Lhoksukon related to the role of parents in shaping religious attitudes of elementary school age children, the authors can explain some of the roles of parents as follows:

1. Educating and Teaching Children
   In an effort to shape religious attitudes in elementary school age children, parents play a major role in educating and teaching children. In a family, parents are responsible for providing education for their children. Education that must be given first and very important is religious education, because religious education covers all aspects of human life. both in the world and in the hereafter. If the religion is good then the good quality of the human being.
   Based on the author's interview with M. Yusuf, the role of parents in Gampong Nga MU in forming religious attitudes in their aged children Elementary School is carried out through a process of educating and teaching children basic worship services in Islam such as prayer and fasting and teaching children reading the Koran as a basis for children to learn more about religion. According to him, parents, especially fathers and mothers, are the first and foremost educators and instructors in shaping the child's attitude and teaching noble character.
   The same thing was conveyed by Ms. Mardiana who interviewed the parents' role in shaping the diversity of attitudes of elementary school-age children in Gampong Nga MU, as follows:
   "My husband and I taught children to do five daily prayers, because our child learned from morning to night, in the morning at elementary school, in the afternoon at TPA, at night at the Study Center. Usually after returning from studying at TPA my child learned to read short suras and asked me to listen to his reading. Sometimes I or my husband justifies his wrong reading and also teaches him prayer. Alhamdulillah, my child is able to pray even though it is only in the second grade of elementary school. "

1. Guiding Children with Affection
   The role of parents as a guide in shaping religious attitudes in elementary school age children in Nga Matang Ubi Village by directing and guiding each step and action of the child. Especially children who are still in elementary school always need extra guidance from their parents, so that they are always directed to do something good in shaping the attitude of the child's diversity. By guiding directly parents will be able to know the level of development, abilities and weaknesses of their child.
   This was conveyed by Rabumah to the author, where he gave guidance on prayer to his children who were still sitting in third grade elementary school alternately by giving lessons on fard prayer and recounting the rewards and punishments given by Allah if they did not pray. Every day he with full tenderness also reminds and guides his children to be respectful and obedient to their parents, saying polite and noble in socializing both at home, at school and in hanging out with friends and neighbors of his house.
