An Uncanny Coincidence

Tell my story.jpg
For many years business associates, clients and friends repeatedly encouraged me to tell my story.

Ten years ago, I began to reflect on this.
I had participated in public speaking and numerous personal mastery workshops and seminars, but to relatively small groups. I was frustrated because I felt the need to get in front of larger audiences. I did have a story to tell, a story that would both heal people from their past and equip them to deal with their future.

Then it struck me -why not write a book?

It was during this ‘light-bulb’ moment, that the following incident took place.

Linda, an adult learner from one of my earlier training groups, briefly and very apologetically interrupted a group I was facilitating. She indicated that the envelope in her hand was for my attention. She placed it on the front desk and left.

As the day ended, the hum drum of activity subsided. The lecture room, now empty and silent, provided me the perfect opportunity to reflect on the day. I thoroughly enjoy this time of the day, the excitement and challenges of facilitating over, I can reflect on my experiences and interactions of the day.

It was in this frame of mind that I spotted the envelope left by Linda.
