Definitely having kids has been a life changing event for me as well! Glad to see that you grew into the role, it is a nice thing to be able to say that! Not everyone does...

I found the biggest thing for me was the fear that my somewhat unstable (financially and travel wise) life as a musician was not going to be a good fit with raising a child. I even seriously considered giving it all up for a stable salaried job. In the end, it all worked out, there are certain advantages to our lifestyle, and certain disadvantages, but everyone has them!
