It's back-to-school again...

Here in the Philippines, June is the start of the new school year. As a mother, you need to prepare your kids' requirements as early as May apart from saving money for the enrollment.

What to buy?

Before you begin buying school supplies, you have to ask the list of requirements which is given during the enrollment. School always prepared those list for the parents so that kids were already prepared when they come to school.

Common things to prepare are as follows:

• set of notebooks, each subject has its specific color and properly covered and labeled.
• books, properly covered and labeled.
• pencils
• coloring materials
• papers
• eraser and ruler
• lunch box and water jog
• bags
• bond papers and construction papers
• sharpener

and other things required by the teachers. But basically those are the things needed.

When to buy?

Before I begin buying supplies and other requirements, I check first the previous school supplies. There might be some things that can still be reused or recycled. As I was checking my daughter's old school supplies, I find many things namely;

• school bag. It's been 3 years now, this bag is still okey. So, no need to buy a new one. Just wash it properly to make it looks new.
  

• set of water color and crayons
  

• lunch box
  

• set of bondpapers and constructions papers and pencil

So, you don't have to buy these things, just recycle it. At least you save much money, right?

TIPS ON ORGANIZING BALLPENS, PENCILS, ERASERS, RULERS AND COLORING PENS

Last week, I went to National bookstore. I was looking for a pencil case. Then I found a pouch, a foldable pouch with 4 compartments. It best fits the entire writing materials and is properly organized according to type.

By the way, teach your kids to properly organize her things. Tell her to put things right on its proper place.

PREPARING THEIR NOTEBOOKS AND BOOKS

Another thing to prepare before school year starts is their notebooks and books. I am pretty sure, teachers will require them to cover and label their notebooks. So, better do it ahead otherwise, that might give you pressure. Apart from requirement, it is also our initiative to cover and label it coz kids don't care about their things. We need to cover them properly.

I have here some of my notebook labels and nametag designs. I designed it using photoshop. I downloaded some of the cliparts from https://www.kisspng.com, it's a free download then I embed it in my design to make it more attractive and interesting. I know for sure you'll gonna need this for their notebooks and books labeling.

To use these, what you will do is:

• just right-click the image and choose Save Image As .
• Once you have the copy of the image, launch microsoft Word.
• Insert the pictures.
• Resize it if necessary and;
• print it using a sticker paper
• then, cut and paste it in their notebooks.

I would suggest, you have to stick them first to their notebook prior to covering it with transparent plastic so that it won't get fade or torn.
