ALL ABOUT GIRAFFES.

Giraffes are such wonderful animals, because they are the tallest animals in the world.

Their legs are taller than most humans and that is the reason even with their long necks they cannot touch the ground with their heads.

They have extremely strong hearts as they have to pump the blood through their big long bodies.

They eat off the top of the trees all the green leaves they find, yet they even like some fruit. 

They cannot jump, and are not attacked by animals except now and again a lion, but the giraffe can kill it with one kick. 

They can run up to 35 miles an hour for a short while, but they do prefer going slower on long distances for more or less 10 miles an hour. 

A giraffe can become about 25 years old, and has 32 teeth just like a humans.

 7 Vertebrae in their neck also the same as a human. 

They have very long tongues and even clean their ears with them.

They can have two babies but normally just have 1 at a time. 

When giraffes walk they move both legs on one side of their body and then the other it sounds funny but that must be what make them so graceful.

Giraffe mothers have to wait 15 months to give birth to their off spring. The mother stands when giving birth and the baby ways about 70 kg.

Sadly the giraffe habitats are shrinking and that is why we are losing some of our giraffes. People are going into the forest to cut the wood and then the forest starts disappearing as well as the giraffes.
