MAKING A CLOCK IN CLASS OR AT HOME.
We have been doing many fun things in the class; I came across this video that all children can make their own clock.
It is very important for children to be able to read time. I think this method can already start teaching them a lot by just making it.
They can start learning by just putting the right numbers on and you do not have to use the battery you can stick two other hands on there for them to move about.

Once they know how many numbers and hours there are in one day you can really teach them how to work their clock and ask them what the time is.
There are so many ways to help them in the class as it is so easy to make the clock. They will enjoy it and in the process learn how to read time.
Start with the long hand and keep it on all the numbers until they understand this. Once they do you can start with the short arm and explain to them that this is the hour arm.
You can then start explaining time to them in a very easy way as they all have their own clocks and you can ask them to put the clock at a certain time then lift them up and show them to you.
You can explain to them at later time that there are two different ways of reading time. That will be another way that we will do later but first they must learn from their clocks.
Once a child can read time they feel very proud and will always come and tell you what the time is. Once they do ask them how they know, and ask them where the long arm and where the short arms are.
You will then know if they have come and told you the right time. Once children can read the time it is also easier to make them do tasks as you can tell them at a certain time it will be lunch, and what time they have to do certain chores.
It is especially important for children to have a bed time and this can also work very well once they can read time.

How awesome, the clock has a battery and everything! The materials used are accessible so there is no complication in this, it is a great idea to teach the children how to read the time and do exercises with themselves.
