This is an interesting topic to debate. To me, I see innovation as the creation, the development of something that is new. This innovation can come in many different ways. It can be the evolution of something that already exists as stated above and developing better ways and methods. It can also be the creation of something completely new and something that has never been thought of before. I think of innovation when people come up with ways to solve problems and advance capabilities. The blockchain world is a great example of innovation as people are looking for a better way build and create on the internet and with the development of crypto, there is an innovative solution to some of the many issues we all have with current technology.

I see creativity as a way of thinking and developing things. It can have to do with absolutely anything you're are involved in. Being able to find new ways to do things and sometimes mixing and matching things in a way that might not have been previously thought of. People often think of the Arts when thinking of creativity but you can be creative in anything you do. I programmer can be creative in terms of the way they make code interact to run a program.

However, I do not see these as two separate and distinct entities. I almost see them as one in the same. To be innovative often takes a great deal of creative thinking. In order to solve problems and improve on current technologies or methods, we need to look at creative interactions and change the way we are currently thinking. I don't think innovation can truly exist without the use of creativity.

Steemit is an innovative social media platform that has given people a way to share and be rewarded unlike in most platforms of the past. It took the creative thinking of developers to come up with the way to interact with the Steem blockchain in order to make this innovative idea work.

In conclusion, this kind of becomes more of a chicken and egg argument. What came first? The creative process that led to an innovative creation of the idea or was in an innovative idea that led to the creativity to make that idea come to fruition? Again, they are not separate but rather very much intertwined together.
