Adapting To The Environment

All humans have the ability to adapt ourselves to several scenarios and circumstances. And there always comes a time when you have to adapt to survive.

Though I'm not talking about renouncing to who you really are so that you can go on. I'm talking more about those unexpected of the situations or when you embark yourself on a challenge.

Any change is difficult for everyone. But it's like taking a shower with cold water. At the beginning you repel it, but seconds later the body adjusts itself to the temperature.

Life

In all the things that compose our daily life, not everything that lands on our hands is pleasant. And we are required to make some changes... changes that we don't wan to make, but they are of utmost importance.

We have to make decisions. We see and do things in certain ways that we create routines out of them. And that causes comfort and security because we know what we deal with.

So, when something new enters into our life, we don't have to dodge it completely. We need to catch it so to speak, and learn from it. There is a saying:

"We are not prisoners of our thoughts."

Work

In a working environment, some situations can get kind of unbearable. But if your work depends on the performance from others, you need to find ways to execute well.

Naturally, there are cases when you have to address any problem to a supervisor or high ranker employee. But most of the time, the issues originate because the parties don't work as a unit.

I know that leaving the differences aside is hard because we always tend to think that our take is the proper one. But when we work with others, there's gotta be no pride or selfishness... because if there is any, work cannot be done. Let's take sports for instance. If a basketball player scores 50 points in a game, but the team loses, all the effort would be in vain. There is something that is missing or not working. So, the players have to know that each one of them is essential to succeed.

Studies

When you are in an educational institution, sometimes you have to adapt to different teachers. And some of them can present some oddities that might have difficult to deal with. So, you have to decipher how the teachers work.

This can be done through communication. That's the only way to settle things up right from the start... because if we wait after beginning with the wrong foot, problems are guaranteed to arise.

Some students prefer not to adapt, but they still continue. And that will also end badly. It's better that you take another path than to force yourself into something that you do not wish to embrace.

But if you decide to continue, you just need to know your teachers. You can do it by observing how he/she interacts not only with your classmates, but also with other teachers...

And not matter if it's literally a pain in the ass to deal with a certain teacher, you should understand that it's not going to last forever. Teachers come and go. And sometimes you have to figure out how get along with them.

Wellness

May of us at a certain point of our life notice that our physical health is of supreme priority. That's why when we decide to embrace the world of fitness (not for a mere and shallow hobby), we realize that our body manifest the years of physical inactivity.

So, when you start with fitness, it can be pretty hard. You have to keep in mind that you have never worked-out before so the body rejects any effort that you put on it. And this is normal. What you have to do is to keep going on.

Your personal trainer may prepare your sessions and motivate you, but you must not stop. Your body can ache in the morning, but that's the adaptation process.

As I implied in the second paragraph, we embrace adaptation only if we willingly want to accomplish something. We don't have to adapt just to fit into any particular group or to look for approval from others.
