People often act in a naive and confident way, providing very personal information to "friends" in the networks without knowing that these people can be criminals who search their victims in networks.
It is important to use networks with awareness, avoiding sharing personal information, such as where we are, how often we leave home, our bank accounts, avoid appointments with people we do not know well, etc.

What has social media done with dating. My generation has no self esteem and everyone is insecure. Its a mess lol.

Social media is hard with its negative views and data mining. It can be useful and positive but I see many bad things.

Yes, Social Media has many.. MANY pitfalls, but then also, it has a LOT of great things about it too. I see it as a new toy and us (*Humans) are still in our technology infancy. We will grow and mature, as will how we socialize and how Social Media is incorporated into our lives.
Social networks are a double-edged tool, that is, they have very good advantages. However, not everything is wonderful, there are bad people through those screens. Each person should be responsible for the information provided and how that can harm it.
While social media has its positives it also have its negatives, our ability to balance it in such a way that it only has positive effect on us is key. People tend to get carried away and by the time they realize everything is in the open it is too late. We must be able to control it and not allow it control us. Cheers.
I never understood the fun of sharing every farth you take and never did. I don't think.you can.compare Facebook.with steem or WordPress with Twitter.

Yep, there needs to be education for this at schools also, this video clip is a great start.
The harmful aspects of social media threaten both children and adults. This video was very successful. Social media is washing families. It undermines society. Social media should be avoided as much as possible. Children should be isolated from its devastating effects.
