Invasion of comfort zone
I have received bad news about the free wordpress hosting provided by @vornix would be closing on 1st June 2019.
I have been using wordpress and it has become part of the routine to save my draft before posting it to steem platform.
With the closing of the service, I would need to step out of my comfort zone to find alternative or totally abandon the use of wordpress.
As adults, most of us hate changes especially when we are doing well with our old practices.
Stepping out of our comfort zone can mean the start of a new opportunity especially for new teaching strategies or business adventures.
Evaluation
Before we even start to venture into new area, we must evaluate what we can still bring along with us for our current resource or procedure.
With some refinement, we may be able to easily adapt and refine what we already have rather than starting something totally new.
Evaluate our current threats and risks before we proceed to venture into unfamiliar zones can reduce the degree of risk significantly.
It is good to list down all the pros and cons before making any decision.
Market news
With the current technology, we can easily find out the status of any project or service before we invest our time and money into it.
By doing a simple research, we can understand and study the current market before we take active actions.
We can also seek the advice of experienced early adopters to find out what are the things we should take note before we venture into something new.
The gathering of current market news cannot be neglected or ignored as it can lead to serious consequences.
Support
Getting support before we even venture out of our comfort zone ensures the percentage of success.
This would significantly not only reduce risk but increase the success rate.
Support can come from early implementors, media as well as organisations that can promote or invest in our new attempt.
We must also ensure we educate and get the support from our stakeholders so that they can be in the same boat as us.
Internal conflicts can ruin even greatest plan that we may have.
In conclusion
It is never easy to step out of our comfort zone when we are not risk takers.
Without taking the step out, we may never have a breakthrough in our current state.
Stepping out takes courage but it can be rewarding when it is done with strategic planning.
The greater the risk, there is a chance of greater reward but it also increases the chance of failure.
The fact is failure can be great lesson for future successes.
