Make History Alive Through Historia
Get pupils to learn social studies that brings history civilization to life.
Students are engaged naturally into conversation.
When students learn what they need to learn through this game-based learning, they enjoy learning and gaining new knowledge through fun activities and discussion.
Teachers would make the necessary changes to make lesson engaging with the ownership of learning passing back to students.
Teachers become facilitators of learning rather than the passive knowledge givers.
I have tried passing ownership of learning to my pupils this year.
It was really hard since teachers are too used to teaching rather than simply facilitating.
My students had the chance to choose what they want to learn and how they want to learn based on the given topics within syllabus.
They were more motivated and I simply had to move around to guide when necessary.
