How can your school stimulate children's autonomy in the best possible way?
Creating a favorable environment
One of the best ways in which the school environment provides autonomy to children is to have their space adequate to all the possibilities created by them to achieve development. A physical space that is welcoming and full of motivations can be immensely favorable to exploitation and creation, becoming a way of learning and seeing oneself as someone capable of acting.
Even when only the classroom is available, that environment can be attractive. You can use colors and shapes that arouse curiosity and concentration. In addition, have classroom development frameworks.
Performing the activities at the right time
The method of creating a routine is also efficient to create space for children's autonomy. Knowing what time you can perform each activity motivates the understanding of the sense of limits and order.
This practice can still be beneficial to strengthen good habits, such as the idea of the most appropriate time for food, rest and personal hygiene, contributing to those aspects being less neglected.
