Why YOU Should Have A Garden
"I don't want to get my hands dirty" that is what many say around the world that prevents them from gardening. Is this why you would not have a garden too? In this article we will consider some reasons why it would be appropriate to have a garden.

A garden does not have to cover a large expanse of land, it can cover a small area. It could be around your home, a land close to your residence, on a balcony, on a roof, in a atrium, or even on a patio or vivarium. The garden may contain root vegetables, flowers, leaf vegetables, fruits and herbs.
With the growing concerns about the amount of chemicals used in our food production, there is a high demand for organic produce. Owning a garden may be a solution, because you know what you planted and how you did so. A garden can also help with fresh vegetables which are about 50% richer in nutrients than imported ones.
The cost of food, especially the organic produce is going up. It saves a lot of money by planting organically grown food in a garden. A seed may cost just a few cents at a grocery store, but what you get after planting is fresh and better tasting than the food we buy.
Planting herbs in the garden, would also be very nice. There are herbs used for injuries, pains just to mention a few. Gardens also play an important part in our general well being and in fact horticulture has been employed as a staple therapy for many centuries. For example, many soldiers are back from wars with injuries, as part of therapy, are instructed to spend time in the garden for healing purposes. The beauty of nature can have a boosting effect especially when combined with the physical stress release. Alot of people have gardens in order to reduce stress, depression, anger and pain levels and enhance productivity and problem solving skills.
Having a garden helps in so many other ways. It helps to expand our horizons, to do small cardiovascular exercises, and also decorate the environment.
