Without using the energy we could not do anything; Even when we sleep we consume energy. And for this reason, it is very important to teach children the essential thing that is to count every day with a radiant Sun, that without the existence of it there would be no life on Earth.

For the greater understanding of what is necessary for our lives, it is necessary to first define the "Sun" as a star that is the center of the Solar System, which releases enormous amounts of energy that is the light we see from Earth.

And second to define the "Energy" is the capacity of a body to perform a job that produces a change in the environment. For example, the wind, acting on the blades of a mill, sets them in motion and therefore performs a job.

There are other everyday examples where you can see how the sun acts, such is the case of plants. The energy accumulated in green plants is passed along the food chain, from a primary consumer to a secondary consumer and so on. This flow of energy is what makes the life of our planet possible.

It is that which produces energy. Living beings and machines cannot produce energy, but accumulate it, transform it and use it. The sun is the main source of energy on Earth.
Wind and water are renewable sources because you can always get energy from them without running out. In contrast, oil and natural gas are non-renewable sources, since they are in limited quantities and are consumed as they are used.

Different forms of energy

They are forms of energies that travel from one body to another: heat, light, and sound.

The bodies that are electrically charged have electrical energy.
An object located at a certain height has accumulated energy due to its position with respect to the ground, which does not manifest until the body begins to fall, and is called potential energy. Potential energy and kinetics are two forms of mechanical energy.

Energy Transformation

The energy of the sun is transformed into heat, useful for the life of our planet, while the hydraulic energy is transformed into electrical energy; and this, in turn, becomes light and heat. For example, a focus and a solar calculator.

It is significant to highlight without the Sun our planet would be a frozen and dark ball flying through space. The sun gives us light and warmth and it is who gives us a lot of energy that we find in our world.

At present, there are many industries that are using the sun's energy, which is beneficial and causes less damage to our planet. For example:

Solar panels (Solar thermal energy).
