Rubik's Cube

Ever wonder why this toy is so popular???? Why children are really hooked to this. My students are really hooked to this. I even caught them playing Rubik's cube while I am having a class and this is one Rubik's cube that I confiscated from my student.

As I opened my drawer, I saw this Rubik's cube and wondered what really started this cube, what really is the history of this cube. And because of my curiosity, I did a little research.

The Rubik's cube has been tantalizing and enchanting people for over 40 years. It was created in 1974 and is the world's best-selling toy.

Rubik's cube was created by Erno Rubik a professor in Hungary, Budapest. He created this Rubik's cube to help his students understand the 3D problems.

When he first built his first cube, he named it Magic Cube and took him over a month to solve it. But he didn't realize that his magic cube would take the world by storm.

In 1980, its global impact began at toy fairs and conferences in London, New York, Paris, and Nuremberg. Then in 1979 in Nuremberg Toy Fair, a toy specialist, Tom Kremer, saw the power and potential of the Cube and wanted to sell it to.the rest of the world.

Since its international launch in 1980, an estimated 400 million Rubik's Cubes have been sold.
