School activities (2) - Students should visit to the library

One of the school literacy programs that we plan is that students must visit the library. We realize that our children don't like books. They prefer gadgets, games, and their social media lives.

Our country has a low reading interest. The schools have not been able to motivate students to read. The school library is only a quiet place that is rarely visited by students. Therefore, the student program must visit the library is the right choice.

Our school has 22 classes. Every day, there is a class scheduled to visit the library. We provide about 30 minutes for each class. It feels short! Therefore, students should use the time to choose the books they read.

For other classes that do not get a library visit schedule, the library is also open to them. Library staff will serve students who want to borrow books even though they do not have a visit schedule. We give appreciation to students who often visit the library. At the beginning of each semester, we will give awards to students who most often borrow books in the library.

In addition, there are other homework given by Indonesian language teachers. Indonesian teachers will assign each student to review the novels they read. This task shall be performed by the students so that they would read the book. It had to be forced.

The library is the most deadly armory. In the library, we will find various kinds of ammunition. To conquer enemies, we should choose the right weapon. The analogy that I often described to my students.
