This is so true and was a nice reminder for me... My "boy" will turn 21 this month, but this great read brought me all the way back to when he was just born. And you describe exactly how it went: hesitant to hold the child at first (lasted a couple of minutes with me), always being playful (the "goofy" one), feeling like a fifth wheel during pregnancy...
