Dare dreamers

We dare to dream,
though bamboozled by bleak apparitions,
and muffled to a silent smugness,
we dare to rise above this quagmire.

We dare to dream,
though plagued by a legion naysayers,
and cringed to a numb peasantry,
we dare to sing with princes and dance in the ether.

We dare to bask in rainbow colours,
We dare to dream.
