There is nothing sadder than a bird without flight
caged she searches sky for the ghost of a family left behind
deepest hollow in birdsoul no ape can fill

We who claim to rule the earth have made ill use of our power
our aspirations built on misplaced arrogance turn even gold to sand
There is still time
If we open the cages we set ourselves free
