What's Cardano?
Cardano is a crypto currency that has been produced since 2015 and traded in the stock exchange since October 2017. An open source wallet named Deadalus is used, so that users can safely store their coins.
Bitcoin and many crypto coins used by the POW ie Proof of Work algorithm instead of Cardano, POS Proof of Stake algorithm is using. During the mining with the POW algorithm, serious electricity costs are generated.
Since the mining awards are distributed in a fair way according to the hash power used by the miners, the cost of electricity in the POS algorithm is much lower than that of POW. Approximately 26 billion Cardano is in circulation and 45 billion in total.
