Tips For Writing An Interview Report

INTERVIEW SUMMARY
The interview was conducted on Monday 3rd December and below is a summary of the details of the 6 applicants interviewed by our 2-man panel of interviewers;

1. SURNAME, Other Names is a 33year old male who resides at Abcdefgh street, Ijklmnop area. He is married with 2 children and currently works with XYZ Microfinance Bank Ltd where he earns N140,000 as an Internal Auditor. He is an HND holder as well as a chartered accountant. His salary expectation is N150,000. Almost all of his working experience has been majorly in auditing and he appeared to be dissatisfied with his current employment. He came across as confident and able to hold his own and share his views. However, he couldn’t answer satisfactorily nor articulate appropriately what the expected contents of a management financial report should be.
   Recommendation: I wouldn’t recommend him for the job because he seems likely to leave the organization for greener pastures as the slightest provocation or opportunity. He also seemed to have a slightly confrontational/aggressive personality. He can be reached on +234814......

2. SURNAME, Other Names is a 34year old male who resides at Defgh street, Mnop area. He is married with 1 child and currently works with XYZ & Co where he earns N80,000 as an Audit Supervisor. He manages a team of 5 people. He has a B.Sc. in Economics and is also a chartered accountant. His salary expectation is N120,000 and he feels entitled to additional employee benefits such as pension, training and other allowances.
   Recommendation: I would recommend him for the job because he appears very versatile and knowledgeable about accounting. He also seemed eager to work and has a very pleasant personality. He can be reached on +2348138......

3. SURNAME, Other Names is a 41year old female who resides at Orstuvw street, Abcd area. She is married with 2 children and currently works as Senior Audit Manager earning N70,000. She had previously worked with XYZ Ltd and had garnered a wealth of accounting, auditing and metric skills and experience. She has a B.Sc. in Accounting and her salary expectation is N100,000.
   Recommendation: I would recommend her for the job because she is experienced and pretty knowledgeable about accounting. She seems to be a dedicated, efficient woman with a pleasant personality and would definitely be an asset to the company. She can be reached on +2348021....

4. SURNAME, Other Names is a 39year old male who resides at Pqwr area. He is married with 2 children and currently works at XYZ Teaching Hospital where he earns N40,000 as an Accounting Officer/Revenue Collector. He has an HND in Accounting and recently became a chartered accountant. His salary expectation is N150,000. He came across as passive-aggressive and appeared quite embittered with his current employers for not recognizing and taking cognizance of his chartered status to upgrade his pay grade and job status.
   Recommendation: I would not recommend him for the job because he doesn’t have much experience in accounting as compared to the other candidates. He also seemed to have a somewhat negative personality. He can be reached on +234805411.....

5. SURNAME, Other Names is a 40year old male who resides at Awxyz area. He is married with 3 children and recently resigned from a job with a multi-level marketing company where he was earning N70,000 as a Business Manager. He has an HND in Accounting. His salary expectation is N100,000 but he is open to negotiation. He has worked predominantly as a logistics personnel and he came across as a really good manager of people, resources and finances.
   Recommendation: I would recommend him for the job because he has got a great deal of experience in management, accounting & marketing. He also has an inviting personality, very friendly and appeared pretty humble. He would definitely be an asset to the company. He can be reached on +2348124......

6. SURNAME, Other Names a 33year old female who resides at Jklmnop arwa. She is married with 1 child and currently works at College of XYZ (a Polytechnic) where she earns N35,000 as a Bursar/Lecturer. She has a B.Sc. in Accounting and is in the second session of a M.Sc. Accounting degree. Her salary expectation is N80,000. When asked why she would like to change jobs, she shared her concerns about inadequate job security as salaries/jobs at the Polytechnic are guaranteed only by the revenue generated from total number of students who enroll per session. That is, when fewer students enroll, there is usually a downsizing of staff headcount.
   Recommendation: She seemed to be a gentle woman with an affable personality. I however wouldn’t recommend her for the job because of her ongoing Master’s program. She would definitely need to take a few days off work during the week to attend to school requirements and this would not be acceptable to the client. She can be reached on 23480927.....
