Token Listings and Pumps Part 2

in #steemleo5 years ago (edited)

Continuing where we left off from part 1, here is another example of a coin that recently got listed on Binance that has almost doubled in its price relative to BTC since the announcement was made.

Heard of Bezant?

Well, me neither. But what caught my eye was that it was something like 40% up today when everything else is taking a dump and the fact that it was hovering close to Steem in the rankings.

The Twitter Feed

The murmurs of a listing on Binance started around the end of June. Here's an example of a post on the 28th of June:

Here's a more recent one on the 4th of July, confirming the impending listing:

Chart action for the past month

Even if you had bought on the 4th of July tweet, you would still have made a 9-10x return. Crazy.

Theory, Practical and Counter-Factuals

So the last two posts pretty much cover the theory but to carry this out in practice requires one to immerse themselves in the news flow about potential listings and knowing where to source them.

The other issue that needs to be addressed is the counter-factual. Are there any listings on a major exchange that saw a massive sell-off in the days following the listing? If you have any examples in mind, could you drop a comment so i could check them out?
