New year, New hope, New platform, Super fun [Need generous donations]

An year on this independent block chain and it has managed to keep me amazed.

Back in 2018
I joined Steemit in early January of 2018. The whole cryptocurrency thing was new to me then. I had heard stories of people earning enough just by trading in cryptos. And I had just discovered a social media platform which paid for your thoughts. What more could I ask for ?
I spent regular time in understanding the block chain, reading about it, understanding the 3 key words SP, SBD and Steem. I just loved it.

I participated in many contests, commented a lot, built my follower base. I had reached a state where my posts had started paying out at least $1 in terms of Steemit. But then the bear market took over the whole crypto world and drowned my hopes. This is when I came across lucksacks.com It is a website which hosts poker tournaments. You can participate in freerolls and earn SBD if you win. Poker + Cryptos was a great combination and I started playing early morning or late night tournaments. They were hardly in my timezone as most of the players were from USA. I won quite a few SBDs then.

Soon in mid 2018 there was a news of 'Reserve Bank of India' taking off its support for all the cryptocurrency exchanges which dealt with cryptos and Indian fiat. So dealing in cryptos no longer gave you fiat directly. Another heartbreak. Sure I did HODL some cryptos due to the bear market and I still do till date. With office work load at its peak, I reduced my involvement in Steemit. I scrolled my feeds once in a week but I could feel the slowdown. People hardly replied to your comments, no one upvotes them even till date. But I continued to read discussions on Steemit and Discord channels.

Early 2019
With this new year, I have heard about Indian government thinking of considering to lay down regulations for crypto dealings in India. That made my thoughts positive. I started spending more time on this block chain again. But now I could often see posts and giveaways about Steem Monsters. It is another game based on Steem block chain. At first I ignored them. But I could not keep myself away from it for too long. I finally bought my starters pack on 7th of February. I have started spending good amount of time in understanding the game. It sounds fun so far.
