Steem Monsters Journal: Trading Thoughts

Here are a few random thoughts on buying/selling Steem Monsters cards:

1. In theory, betas should be worth only 25% less than alphas. If this isn't being reflected - either alphas are overvalued or betas are undervalued. Collector's premiums do apply, but bear in mind which cards collectors really do want.... probably not that common.

2. Don't neglect those betas! As newbies onboard, what are they really going to be buying down the road? More betas or more alphas?

3. Neutrals should never be valued the same as respective cards of the same rarity. Their ability to be used by all splinters should inevitably make them higher valued.

4. Don't forget about how much someone is willing to spend. Unless you're willing to wait forever - your cards are only as valuable as what someone else is willing to pay. How many bitcoin billionaires do we really have out here willing to pay thousands for digital art? Probably only a few... for now.

5. Steem & SM cards are relative to USD. SM cards are proving to be far more sticky to USD than Steem is. Therefore bear this in mind given that when Steem is down, SM cards are more useful for selling. When Steem climbs, its more useful to buy SM cards. This is subjective of course.
