so heres my story of buying into steem monsters starters boosters and all

i waited and waited to buy packs because i knew i couldnt afford much and wanted to buy mine near the end of the 300k packs but i didnt realize just how close i was from not getting to buy them at all because as soon as i bought my 12 little boosters i refreshed the page and they were sold out. i believe i bought from some of the last 1-2k packs left

heres what i got

all in all i bought a starter pack 12 boosters and 23 individual cards to round out what i was missing
i have enough for level 2 on each common(after i give away 1 of each common in my personal daily contest heres day 3 all rares and all epics except for defender of truth i ran out of what little i had from a poorly botched bitcoin purchase

the grand total was 58 Common 29 Rare 10 Epic 1 Legendary

Wow, nice cards, I'm envious, I don't have any of the Gloridrax  yet, so that Gold Dragon is an especially nice catch for you. Well done! You've got a nice collection of Summoners  there as well. If you're planning to join the battles and tournaments to come, you should start combining those Summoners, as the level of your summoner will determine the level at which your summoned monsters will fight. There is no point having a Level 5  monster with only a Level 1  summoner calling it to battle.

i will join them but i want to see what kinds of things are to come in the matches before i go and level up my cards ie the rewards and how i like certain cards in game play and such i don't necessarily want to combine any that turns out i don't like using

Fair enough. I'm trying to build a flexible deck, which I can adapt to different situations. At first this won't seem so important, when the battles and tournaments start, but in later releases they intend to allow us to substitute a few cards in our teams just before the match begins, after we've seen our opponent's hand. That makes having a decent strength card of any type, being available for substitution, as a real asset, if we can out-smart our opponent with our choices. Eventually, after a few hundred games have been played, we'll start getting to know that "if you play this card, in this position against that opposing monster, then you're more likely to win."  That's what I'm going for, anyway. 👍
