Hi Monsters,

I would like to share with you my excitement about my 2nd. Place at the "Malric Summoner Showdown" Steem Monster Tournament - sponsored by @steemmonsters and hosted by @aggroed

The Tournament started yesterday 01/05/19 at 07:00 PM EST and all participants needed to register at https://challonge.com/4z580eh0
There where about 46 players who joined the Battle.

- The Rules for this Tournament:

• Monster League "Silver"
• All Cards where allowed to participate
• double elimination and best out of 3

• Special-Livestream on https://minnowpond.org/

- Prize Pool: (sponsored by @aggroed and official @steemmonsters account)

• 1st. and 2nd place get a max level Malric (lvl 8) worth around each 50$
• 3rd. place gets a partially leveled Malric (lvl.7)

I'm very happy with my 2nd. Place and already enjoying my winning of the max level Malric Inferno !!!

Here is my Proof of Battle (POB :-)

- Final Battle / Strategy / Tactics:

The Final Battle against @smongo was pretty exciting, because I raised like a Phoenix out of the looser Bracket, and managed to win the first match against @smongo in the Final Round. But, the battle rules in this tournament says, "if you raise like a phoenix out of the ashes (looser Bracket), than you have to win two matches in the Final Round!!!"....
Well, it wasn't that easy, because in the second match against @smongo he used his Hydra perfectly against my fire team. I have to mention, that I didn't used any Hydra in the whole tournament (no Hydra in my deck) and still fought my way up against all those other Hydras...yeah everybody already knows the Hydra is pretty awesome in the Silver League!!!
That is quite amazing when you think about the game mechanics, how balanced they already work! And there are always possibilities to beat overpowered legendary monsters with a standard monster team.

The Trick with the Hydra is - Don't touch her!!! Hydra abilities are "Thorn" and "Retailate" and both activate when you hit her with Melee.
If you suspect your opponent to put in the Hydra (mostly in the last or tank position), than don't use any "Sneak-monsters" in your Team, and try to find a Heal Tank against her.
Best damage results on Hydra are all Ranged and Magic attacks.

- Here is a good example from me against @pharism at the Final Round of the Looser Bracket, where I suspected him to put in the Hydra.

- And this is my favorite Battle from the whole tournament against @holoz0r. We both had the Fire Team with the same Monsters on the same Level except his Shen Lo was lvl.2 and mine lvl.1.
In a situation like that every heart point counts, and also who takes the first turns! In both matters I was behind @holoz0r, but watch how it played out!!!

Overall, I have to say that tournaments are really the main exciting part about Steemmonsters. Right now, the tournaments are organized by great Steemmonsters Veterans like @theaustrianguy, @therealwolf, @carrieallen, @crystalhuman, @clayboyn, @bountywolf and @clove71, but this is going to be upgraded in January 2019 to a fully automated Tournament system.

The prize pools are going to be sponsored by private individuals, companies (thru advertisement) and the official Steemmonsters Account.Tournaments will be around for all different kinds of Monster Levels (Leagues) and Rarity (Gold or non-Gold).

There is a lot of things to be excited about Steemmonsters, and its not a payed to win only Game! Strategy, Tactics and good opponent research in advance makes the difference!

So, go get your Game-On as soon as possible, so you can learn and gain experience with the Steemmonsters Battle-System.
