The truth is that the gold cards aren't better, and could be a bubble in some of their prices, if you want only to play the cards the ones that you've to look up are the regulars.
Many people won't max out legendaries because it's a waste of them for xp, maxing out epic and legendaries is a decision to those who aspire to winning the tournaments, otherwise is a bad economic decision.
Playing with Level 5-6 summoners seems to be the sweet spot.
But we'll see next month with game play
Well those gold cards will have there own tournaments with their own price pools which also includes less players and higher average payouts.
I guess if you go into battle with a legendary card it will automatically gain xp from that battle so its not a decision about do I want to max them out rather than can I fight tournaments without any legendary card. Since those cards feature rhe most abilities.
