I've moved to Hive, along with most other people, following Justin Sun's takeover of Steem in the Spring of 2020. I believe hive is a lot more decentralised than Steem!
you should pay more attention to defense. Defender of Truth gives 2 extra shields to everyone, that is worth a lot. you have to shield him off from sneak and snipe attacks though, he is very low on life and to be honest, with the new lord arianthus in the enemy front, he gets killed in 2-3 rounds so ok, forget about him :-) but think defense too.
i play top 20 now, it is all about sneak and snipe and defense against that, death is almost not played in top league, life yes but a lot of earth and water with selenia too

there is a small but in the end conclusion... for instance magic cards are in general more of use than melee cards I find...or is this just me? :D
I think water may actually be a better splinter on that basis I seem to win just as much with a lower ranked deck. Especially after getting a gold ruler of the seas card in my last rewards selection!
I'm actually getting quite bored of SM now TBH. It's very samey.
I did think Death was King, but I'm toying toward Water now with all that Magic intensification with even the regular summoner.
Water is a solid splinter!

I noticed you at the top of.the leaderboard there the other day!
Just following what everyone else does up at the top would be easier... I was really just testing whether basic math can give you any idea of what cards to level up....
Maybe not?
A better approach might be to just analyse which cards the people with the best win ratios play most often!
