Steemmonsters: Prismatic Energy better at level 7 or level 8?

I listen the one or the other saying something like this: What question ? - Level 8 must be better than Level 7 ...

... so far I had thought that it is desirable for all monsters to bring this to max-level.
But I'm not so sure about Prismatic Energy ...

Why ?

Now let's take a look at the values:

Speed, Shield, and Life are identical, as well as the Magic Reflect and Void abilities.

The only difference is the attack, this is at level 7 two and at level 8 three.

But is not it clear that it is better if the attack is higher?

No, it is not so clear. Without question: At level 8, Prismatic Energy does more damage than at level 7, but there is one serious drawback:

Very often the Prismatic Energy meets an opponent who has Magic Reflect.
Just a few examples: Haunted Spirit, Silvershield Paladin and Lord Aranthius.

At level 7, the Prismatic Energy attacks with 2 damage, but due to the ability "Void" it takes through Magic Reflect no damage.

This is different from level 8, because of the 3 damage attack, 2 damage are dealt back and Void only "swallows" 1 damage.

So, Level 7 Prismatic Energy can attack a monster with Magic Reflect without taking damage while Level 8 Prismatic Energy slowly but surely kills itself (for example, when the reflective monster is refilled).

I've had it once before in a fight that my Prismatic Energy ended up with 1 life and my opponent a fully loaded Lord Arianthus - ok, my Prismatic energy was still level 6, but levels 6 and 7 are only 10 or 11 lives (so upgrading from 6 to 7 is unconditionally recommended).
My Prismatic Energy has taken a life from Lord Arianthus, lap by lap, and I've won the fight. With a level-8 prismatic energy, the Prismatic-Energy would have killed itself by Magic-Reflect and the Lord Arianthus would have triumphed.

For a full view just three situations where Level-8-Prismatic-Energy is or can be better than Level-7-Prismatic-Engergy:

1. With the rule "Monsters lose all abilities" because opponents lose the the ability Magic-Reflect.
2. When using the water summoner and get the Magic-Bonus, because than also Level-7-Prismatic-Energy take damage. But in this case it's not completely clear, because if opponent use "silence" can be also better to have Level-7-Prismatic Engery.
3. If opponent use silence (without bonus of water summoner) because than also Level-8-Prismatic-Energy take no damage by Magic-Reflect.

What do you think about these considerations?
Will you (or did you) bring your Prismatic-Energy to Level 8 or not ?
