Day 2 on Steem Monsters (Splinterlands)

I am just excited that I actually sat down to write a second blog, in a row. That right there is an achievement, let alone the content about I am about to digitally lay down. Let's get to it!

Ranking:

I've have crept my way up to Silver II now thanks to some help from the community passing along a few of their spare cards, namely @stiant, @pacolimited and @steamdan. I am still running summoners that are level 1 and 2 at the moment so their reduced abilities to play higher level creatures (the few that I have that are over level 3) is noticeably affecting some match outcomes. My winrate has dropped down to 56% with a day in the Silvers but I am up in overall ranking so that'll work for me.

Healing monsters are so clutch in low mana matches. Their ability to attack and heal damage swings matches instantly and is your main carry through the fight. Water Spinter's Sea Dragon is the first monster that comes to mind in these fights. He is a little slower in speed but the high attack and health makes his steep mana cost worth it.

The rewards system continues to surprise me and from what I have read from the Discord server and other users posts it's a key element to the game's ecosystem and allows higher league players to generate STEEM from sales of extra cards or just increase the overall value of your collection. 3 free cards this morning, considering a booster runs $2USD for 5 cards that's solid.

Overall, continue to love the strategic depth to the game and the community thriving around the game. I had a few moments to chat with one of the co-founders and any game where the folks under the hood take time to converse with their community is a solid bonus.
