Life is full of challenges and these challenges hone us to the utmost version of ourselves. No one in this world who never experience hardships of any form. It is inevitable. As we go along with our lives, we cross along countless obstacles. This only means that we are pursuing our lives. The idea here is how will you face it. It should make you a better person and not a bitter one. How you view all of this life's provocations will determine your how you will be able to overcome it. You may view it as load, as a suffering or you may view it as a test of character. Either you refuse it or welcome it, life's challenges will make or break you. It depends on how you handle it.

Glai, the Industrious Teacher

Growing up in a family of 5 under the supervision of Single Mom, at young age Glai was open-eyed with the reality of poverty. As a child, she wishes to become an Accountant when she grows up to able to provide for herself and her entire family. She believed that if she will be able to earn a lot of money it will change her entire life which indeed is true. But life was full of surprises. She ends up being a Teacher that later on became her passion.

Glai didn't go to college after she graduated High School.She rather took a job in well know fast food restaurant, Mcdonalds. She is a middle child in siblings of five. Her earning during that time was allotted for the tuition fee of his elder brother and was of great help to their household expenses since aside from her, her mom was the only one working in the family. So she was working while her older brother and sister were in college and her younger brother and sister is in high school. A remarkable act indeed.

After two years it was her time to finally enter college but her saving couldn't afford the course she wants, that is Accountancy. As the budget dictates she took Education while still working in Mcdonalds. Can't imagine how she manages all the task of schooling and working at the same time. That indeed is a great challenge. Despite the demand for that huge task, she finished college and became one of the Outstanding Teacher Demonstrators of her batch. ( Are you Wonderwoman Glai, please reveal it to us). What a marvelous lady. May I quote:

"I studied in the morning and I worked in the evening. Yes, I was a working student for four straight exhausting years. It was a never-ending sacrifice! With a lot of determination, perseverance and hard work, I graduated with a Bachelor of Technical Teacher Education, major in English and have become one of the Outstanding Teacher Demonstrators of our batch. My six years of service in McDonald's had finally come to an end too".

Finally she is now a teacher and she started working in a reputable school but guess what? She was assigned teaching Chemistry which is far-fetched from what she finished. Instead of complaining, Teacher Glai proved herself once again by facing this challenge. She successfully finished an entire academic year.
But then again, life poured another hard decision to make. Being a teacher doesn't answer her families needs. Though her heart dictates her to do what she loves her mind commands to fulfill his obligations to her family. Reluctantly, she worked as a Call Center Agent. Working in this industry is rewarding. She was able to experience a life she never had.

But a heart who once found her passion will never be at peace unless she is embraced by it and is doing it every day.

Despite the lucrative career, she went back to her first love, Teaching. Teacher Glai is now an English Teacher at Georgia Academy. She is now in her 4th year of the Golden Age of her life. Finally, after all what life throws at her, she is standing tall holding in her hands a product of all of her hard works over hardships. She now spends the greatest moment of her life, being a Teacher. And, according to her,

"Teaching is not only my profession, it is a career, and a big responsibility. Teaching gives meaning to my life. I TEACH TO LIVE, AND I LIVE TO TEACH!"

The mother of all traits, Mayelle

Meet Mayelle Ardine Narvas, 27 yrs old from Antipolo. She is a wife and a mother of two. Mayelle is just staying at home taking a good care of her family. But she is not that typical mother who does the household chores and it ends only there. Mayelle has many ways of earning money while at home as she takes care of her family.

She has a lot to offer to us. To earn extra pennies she does baking. She makes homemade cupcakes and other pastries to which she sells to augment their daily expenses. These cupcakes in the picture look so tempting.

Aside from that, she goes to tailoring houses and pick up leftover fabrics which she transforms into beautiful flowers. A very creative girl who turns trash into a perfect ornament. She also sells this most especially during Valentines season and All Saints Day. Lo and behold additional income while taking care of her kids.
How many of us can think like that? We are used to hearing leftover fabrics turned into rags or doormats but this time because of Mayelle this seemingly useless pieces of fabrics became attractive artworks and worth selling. Perfect for house display that will serve color and harmony.

In addition, Mayelle is good in drawing and lettering. She does some sketches as answers for drawing needs of students and teachers in her place to which again she earns money as well as making letterings too. Further income for this inspiring lady.

Reading the @introducemyself blog of this girl amaze me so much on how creative she is in making money. She has a lot of ways and her responsibility as a mother doesn't hindrance her from doing such things and vice versa. Something to be proud of and worth sharing with other people who keep on complaining that there is no opportunity out there for them to earn. But this mother... she is more than resourceful to challenge herself to make a living in spite the fact that she is just at home. She makes an opportunity out of nothing. She doesn't look for opportunity. She creates it. If only all of us will think like this no one will be on streets begging for alms. Probably if you will give an object to Mayelle she will find a way how to turn it into a money. Being a full-time mom doesn't confine her inside the corners of the kitchen or limit her from holding broomsticks only. Resourceful as she is makes her a very productive and helpful wife to her husband. She uses her talent for creativity to make her whole day worthwhile and at best save some money.

Mayelle and his husband, Randy has two children, Shinshin and Potchi. Their daughter, Potchi was named after a gummy candy which she craves for during Potchi's conception. While Shinshin the eldest is their adopted son. Despite their status in life. This couple adopted Shinshin since its biological parents couldn't support him but they love him like a true blood son. Shinshin excels at school because of hands-on tutorial of Mayelle. (So Mayelle where do you get your power to do all this task simultaneously? Come on share it with us). Life can't be complete without pain. Even our good Lord underwent such hardships. No matter what life throws at you it is your decision if you will surrender. Complaining will not help you solve your problem. Reading the stories of this two ladies you will notice that there are no complaints and refusal about the problems they are into. All they do is look for ways on how to move on with life. They persevere a lot. Instead of taking life for granted, they make every trial a stepping stone and a path to get closer to their dreams. Instead of bothering other people and falling into dramas, they find ways on how to solve the challenge. Upon reading their stories you will be encouraged and left nothing but amazement. If these two ladies are courageous enough to win their lives, we should be the same.
