FIRETREE for a TEA PARTY?

( Source: Google Images)

Delonix regia, the flame tree (commonly know in the Philippines as FIRE TREE) , is a species of flowering plant in the bean family Fabaceae, subfamily Caesalpinioideae. It is noted for its fern-like leaves and flamboyant display of flowers. In many tropical parts of the world it is grown as an ornamental tree and in English it is given the name royal poinciana or flamboyant. It is also one of several trees known as "flame tree". A group of ladies decided to throw a bridal shower to one of our missionary daughter, so we had the MoM asked if what is her favorite color to take on for her wedding, and we were given a hint of orange and teal. So since it was still summer season in the Philippines, you will see FIRE tree all over the North of Luzon where I live 😂 I decided to take advantage on the Fire Tree bloomed flowers before it all come to wilting getting nearer to rainy season 😊 Fortunatley there were Fire Tree flowers that were just reachable and so we had tons of the two varieties and had it exhibit during the set up accented on YELLOW BOTTLE BRUSH Tree Bushes where I had it trimmed from our garden.

Basically in this simple DIY Set Up, I wanted to show you that you can actually do flower set up without spending a penny 😊 Take advantage to the wild flowers in season and make a magic out of it.

For the Backdrop, Bridal Bouquet and Cake Topper, we had a consistent used of Paper Flowers courtesy of that industrious crafty hands of @brainless_invertebrate (Tita Micah).

Of course when doing diy set up, PAPERS are your best of friends 😂 We had a used music sheets as table runner since the bride to be is a musician, and a Japanese paper sa pretend table cloth, crepe paper as ceiling drapes and cartolinas as Paper flowers 😊

Praising God the fellowship turned out to be fun, like we used to play pretend tea parties when we were still little girls but this time with real cake and sandwhiches, lol.FUN and YUM. Thanks to Little Oven for the Yummy Vanilla Cake.

Hope you enjoyed watching my crafts as much as I enjoyed doing it.
