All about Earth (Continents, population, countries)

in #steempress5 years ago (edited)

Today after several days of stagnation I thought that I should continue the blog with interesting statistics about Earth, where we live our lives. Population reached 7.6 billion people. According to the UN there are 195 sovereign states and 249 country codes in the seven recognized continents (Africa, North America, South America, Antarctica, Asia, Australia (Oceania) and Europe in this classification America is considered to be made up of two continents.) In the following days I will try my blog will detail each country for those who want to know the history of the Earth and the formation of countries over time.
Today I will talk a bit about the continents:

Africa was named after the word arad out of the way meaning dust or earth.

The American continents were named after the explorer Amerigo Vespucci, later latinized in the Americus. The first to present the world with the discovery of a new continent is Amerigo Vespucci, even though Cristopher Columbus has made a mistake in America.

Antarctica means Oppos Arctic Arctic, which represents the Ursa Mare constellation above the North Pole.

Asian name translated from Assyrian means Sunrise or Sanscrita, Risen.

Australia is termed Australian Terra incognita meaning Unknown Southern Territory.

The name of Europe comes from the word Phoenician Ereb which translated means "All Things" or from the Princess Europe of Greek Mythology.

The largest area of land is in Asia, and in Australia (Oceania) the smallest.

The highest temperature is in Africa, while in Antarctica it is the coldest.

The longest coast is Asia, and the shortest coast of Africa.

The continent with most states is Africa with 53 states.

The northernmost point of land is Oodaq Island, off North Peary Land, Groelanda.

The oldest rock discovered so far is Zircon in Western Australia, with an age of 4.4 billion years.
The area of Africa is about 30,344,028 km² or 20.22 percent of the total land mass of the Earth, being the second largest continent in terms of population. Africa stretches from the Mediterranean Sea to the Cape of Good Hope. In In terms of climate zones, there are savannah, dessert and jungle.
North America is a northern hemisphere continent, located almost exclusively in the western hemisphere, bordered to the east by the Atlantic Ocean, west of the Pacific Ocean, north of the Arctic Ocean and south of the Caribbean Sea and South America. North America has an area of 24,709,000 km², representing about 4.8% of the Earth's surface, or 16.5% of land.
South America is crossed by the Equator and it carries much of its surface in the southern hemisphere, being bordered between the Pacific Ocean and the Atlantic Ocean. South America occupies the southern part of the continental part called Latin America. The continent is delimited in the northeast by Darien's waterfront along the Panama-Columbian border or other Panama Canal sources crossing the Isle of Panama. South America has an area of 17,818,508 km², which represents about 11.5% of the Earth's dryness.
Antarctica joins the small continents of the planet, being the southernmost of the Earth, almost 98% of the continent is covered by ice. The Antarctic area is 14,107,367 km² or 9.42% of the total land mass on Earth.
Asia is the continent with the largest area of 44,493,000 km² or 29,70% of the total land mass on Earth, and is also the most populous population. Asia unfolds entirely in the northern hemisphere. It stretches from the Arctic Circle to 10 ° below the Equator, the Northern Taiga Forests, are the world's most extensive forests.
Australia (Oceania) is the smallest continent of the Earth with an area of 8,510,000 km², or 5.68% of the planet's dryness is represented by numerous islands, mostly small and scalded by a huge oceanic mass of over 80 million km² .
Europe is entirely located in the northern hemisphere, in the full temperate zone, thus not knowing climatic, thermal and rainfall, specific to tropical or polar zones, providing a favorable environment for human activity. The total area of Europe is 10,180,000 km² or 6.79% of the planet's dryness.

On Terra, nearly three-quarters of the planet 71% is covered with water, only the remaining 29% is dry.
I hope you have found important data in this article and I would really like to discuss it with questions and answers.
