The Saman Dance

Saman dance is one of the traditional dance that entered in very unique category. The uniqueness of saman dance lies not only in its compact dance movements, but also in the harmonization of the song and the choir that accompanies it.

Its uniqueness is also what makes this Acehnese dance became very famous, not only in the country, but also all over the world.

Saman dance has been set by UNESCO as one of the list of cultural heritage from Aceh which is found in the sixth session of intergovernmental committee on the protection of UNESCO cultural heritage in Bali, precisely on November 24, 2011.
