Strava heatmap data and general big data analysis has a place in pedestrian safety and use. Certainly not the only input but does offer great insight in a subsidized infrastructure where real human action is difficult to capture due to socialized costs and deep state meddling.
Elastic and Strava data could be combined with Signal4 crash data in Florida to improve placement of roads, the type of roads and where pedestrian trails could be built. Knowing many factors that surround use, the when, where and for what is valuable.
