Last Saturday was a special day for a Tanky day. A rare chance of taking photos in public with the military vehicle in Penang, Malaysia. Never once in my life that I saw them do it public especial last Saturday. It was due to an important person who will come on that night for a public speech.

The whole area of Esplanade has been locked down and Jalan Tun Syed Sheh Barakbah been closed down as well. On the late evening, Lebuh Light been blocked and all vehicles need to take a U-turn to find an alternative road to Jalan Sultan Ahmad Shah if they still want to go to North East of Penang.

The country is at peace but the military is always required just in case of war.

It is also a surprise day for those who would like to pay their traffic summon tickets. A discount of 50% for any tickets they have accumulated. A freaking long queue over 300 people under the hot sun to grab their chances to pay their fines. Funny but it definitely worth their times.

What So Special On 4 August?

It was a launching campaign by our Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahatir Mohamad to promote the Flying the Jalur Gemilang campaign in Penang, Malaysia. The purpose is to rise up the spirit of loyalty to our country. In order to show our love to the nation, flying the Malaysia flag is one of the visible methods and also to celebrate the coming Merdeka Day as well. It is estimated about 30,000 Malaysian visited the campaign.

Flying the national flag is our responsibility that we should fulfill to show our love for our country. Have you rise your flag yet?
