Uncle Aunty Wan Tan Mee - Georgetown, Penang
One of the best Wan Tan Mee in Penang I can say. I heard about this stall long time ago but couldn't have the chance to test it. The queue was insanely long, you can't get a seat unless you're lucky or able to share with someone. The worse part that it will finish in no time. But Here I am writing about this today because I finally got the chance to try it.
Look at the queue, I wasn't kidding about it... But even though the queue is long, the Uncle and Aunty's cooking skill is able to finish one order in just a minute. So approximately 30 minutes later I was lucky enough to order just one, while my boyfriend was lucky enough to get an empty seat, after someone finished their food.
That is the Uncle and Aunty right here, now I understand why the name is so popular, because it's really managed by 2 person which is the from picture above.
There you go, the masterpiece. One thing really different about this Wan Tan Mee is that the noodle is slightly thicker than KL ones. The sauce is not too sweet and darkish too, I can say everything is just nice and balanced. The noodle is so "slippery" too. No doubt that this Wan Tan Mee stall is so popular, even though it is not inside a fancy building or a nice restaurant but rather a stall, their business is really good I must say. Just minutes after my order, the Wan Tan Mee sold out. I can say we were really lucky this time!
