The question that often arises in the minds of people who want to create a website (maybe you are also included) is: where to start?
Let me tell you a little secret: You can use WordPress.
WordPress is a CMS (Content Management System) that allows you to create a blog or website with ease, just capitalize hosting and domain to install it. This platform is very popular all over the world and you can get it for free!
In this series you will learn about how to build your own blog or website using WordPress. Therefore, you are a very lucky person to read my turorial series. Hehe. Everything will be discussed complete, step by step starting from ZERO to become a blog or website that is very PROFESSIONAL.
This WordPress Tutorial for Beginners will I divide into several parts. This section is the first part.
What is Hosting?
Hosting is a space or data storage of a blog or website on the internet that allows the data is accessed online and seen by everyone from all over the world.
Further explanation can be likened to this: If you want to build a business, then you need a stall for your business, is not it? Let's say it's a shophouse

Apa itu Hosting?
Hosting merupakan sebuah space atau tempat penyimpanan data sebuah blog atau website di internet yang memungkinkan data tersebut diakses secara online dan dilihat oleh semua orang dari seluruh penjuru dunia.
Penjelasan lebih lanjut bisa diumpamakan seperti ini: Jika Anda ingin membangun sebuah usaha, maka Anda membutuhkan sebuah lapak untuk usaha Anda tersebut, bukan? Katakanlah lapak tersebut berupa Ruko yang
mempunyai space atau ukuran ruangan yang variatif ada yang ukurannya 5x5², 10x5², dan seterusnya.
Begitu pula dengan hosting di internet. Ada beragam varian space berbeda yang dapat Anda pilih: 500MB, 1GB, bahkan space yang jauh lebih besar. Namun yang pasti, berapapun space-nya pasti suatu saat akan menjadi kendala jika Anda membeli hosting yang space-nya dibatasi.
Akan tetapi, beberapa provider juga menyediakan sebuah layanan hosting yang Unlimited dimana Anda bisa dengan bebas meng-upload konten website Anda baik itu berupa gambar, video maupun jenis file lain tanpa harus takut kehabisan ruang atau space tersebut.
Apa itu domain?
Domain adalah alamat sebuah situs berupa (.com/.net/.org) dan lain-lain, mempunyai fungsi untuk mengidentifikasi alamat (IP address) sebuah server komputer (hosting).
Seperti ilustrasi diatas, ketika Anda sudah mempunyai ruko untuk space usaha, tentunya yang Anda butuhkan adalah alamat agar siapapun dapat mengunjungi tempat usaha Anda dengan mudah. Jika Anda sudah mempunyai ruko tetapi tidak memiliki alamat, lantas bagaimana orang dapat mengunjungi tempat usaha Anda?
Begitu juga dengan domain, sebuah alamat yang wajib ada agar website Anda dapat dengan mudah diingat dan dikunjungi oleh orang dari seluruh penjuru dunia.
