Does God Really Test Our Patience?

Sometimes I wonder why we have to be very patient with the situation. The truth is that patience is the virtue of God, the fruit of the spirit of God. However, what does being patient actually mean? Does it mean that we have to compromise and till that time, we have to remain calm, suffering and silent?

Well, patience means long-suffering, slow to anger and wise while making decisions. Life is a process and in this process we cannot take hasty decisions, however, we have to take graceful decisions. When someone is suffering, we should go for immediate help and that is also being patient.

Patience is then we help others without fail without seeking our own. We have to remain patient when we are unconditional and not seeking our own. When we know that we are helping and loving someone truly, so that true love should not fail. So, God is patient with us because His true love never fails.

Patience means fruitfulness! The farmer yields the crop but before that he is patient throughout the process. Also, a mother is patient for nine months until her baby is fully grown in her womb. She knows the importance of being patient. Patience is the sign of something happening, growing for manifesting.

During the time of patience, we are letting God do His work. We let God happen instead of "own" happen. So the results are always FULL. In Grace, God fulfills us without making us feel that we lack anything. If you feel that you lack support, then, Godly patience is going to be supportive during your days of patiently awaiting.

Patience also means gentleness. A gentle spirit waits upon. Thus, we wait upon the spirit of God to lead us or guide us towards His way of Mercy only. When Mercy only, it is God's Grace. Since God is a constructor, He takes construction in a process and this process takes time because of our limitations. God of Grace does not force or pull. He waits until we come to Him unconditionally. So, that needs patience.

Patience is not calculated as a measurement. Being patient is known as a good character. Ofcourse, we also consider our patience when we have to wait a lot expecting things. However, when we expect nothing, there is no need of patience too. So, patience is not based on time. It is the within character. If anyone hurts you, how much patient you are with him/her?

Patience is then when someone asks you for instant reaction or some action for reaction. Being offended, instant reaction for action. However, this all should be done in the presence of God. In the absence of Grace, patience can result in compromise and sacrifice. Also, we are truly patient in unconditional love only.

Violence, offence, war etc all happen in the absence of lack of patience. Only the spirit of God is patient. The soul is impatient and has not yet known patience. This virtue of God of Grace is known only when the truth is revealed.
