Plan Ahead.

When it comes to promotions and sales, it is vitally important to plan ahead, especially if your business has 'peak' sales times such as Christmas. Far too often we are approached by companies and businesses wanting to run a paid advertising campaign for events such as Christmas when their sales are at their highest but have left this to the very last minute.

The problem is, if you are leaving it to last minute, then you most likely will be losing out on numerous opportunities. The key is to have a build up and plan ahead, promoting up and coming sales, and to pique your fans and followers interests, yes there are last minute shoppers but you will find the majority of people also plan ahead, with this in mind you should begin at least 8-12 weeks before the said date, For instance if you are promoting for Christmas, October is the ideal time to start, and although you do not need to launch your sale early, you can announce up and coming deals that you will be offering, make it more exciting with 'limited stocks' at a particular price, or even free give aways when someone buys your product, and limit those give aways to to the first 10 or 20 purchases. By planning ahead and creating the excitement, you are in par with your competition and overall will make more sales, rather than a last minute attempt to corner some of the market.
