Hello friends, steemians! To continue with the musical arrangements of Maestro Rafael Suárez, today I want to offer you the second piece of the first album of the Quinteto Contrapunto, and is titled "Maracaibera". With music by Rafael Rincón González, Maracaibera is a well-known Zulian dance in Venezuela and has been performed by various artists.
However, Rafael Suárez's choral arrangement for four voices has gone down in history as one of the gems of the country's folklore.

lo mucho que estoy sufriendo yo,
lo mucho que estoy sufriendo así,
tú serás dulce bien
estrellita refulgente
la única dueña de mi existir.
Cuando vienes caminando
tu cuerpo mueves como palmera,
la brisa pasa arrullando
moviendo alegre tu cabellera,
tu mirada electrizante
y el atractivo de tus caderas
me tienen siempre soñando
mi linda reina maracaibera.
In the version that I share with you in this video we can appreciate the Quipunto Contrateto group from Carabobo, made up of friends from the System of Orchestras such as Soprano María de los Ángeles Ruiz, Mezzosoprano Mariángela Mendoza, Tenor Miguel Cabrera, and Baritones Erick Osuna and Adrián Pedraza.
