This sounds a lot like the "Wine'd Around" event that we do here in town. We spend the entire day going from pub to pub and to every bar in town sampling wine, beer and food. It is a glorious day, to say the least. When you get tickets you also get a special shirt to wear that day. Kinda like a pub crawl but for us older folks. lol
They have something like that too called the Wine Walk. I am not a big wine drinker though. We did each get a commemorative pint glass with our tickets.
