Special Steemian Silver Giveaway Entry
@ssg-community has generously sponsored a #steemroundgiveaway contest, and people are encouraged to nominate a worthy Steemian to win a 1 oz. silver round. Scribblingramma has been a consistent blogger here despite occasional lulls in activity. She generally creates an interesting potpourri of posts for any who might want to take a look. When I first introduced her to Steemit about three years ago, she was new to blogging. Once she found a community of fellow bloggers who shared some interests, she became hooked on writing. To be honest, I think she still doesn't understand the cryptocurrency foundation one bit. I have to remind her in person every now and then to check her wallet and claim her pending balance. She's here for the community first and foremost, and her work isn't shameless pandering for votes. Unfortunately, that also means her posts are often overlooked. Time to rectify that.

Whoops! Got off on a bit of an irrelevant tangent there. Nonsensical rambling aside (certainly not a shameless effort to hit that word count mandate, no sir), @scribblingramma is the sort of Steemian we need. She's an early adopter from the non-tech-savvy crowd, someone whose internet presence heretofore has probably consisted of e-mail, Myspace (remember that?) and Facebook.
She didn't, "join for the crypto and then stay for the community," she came to be creative in the first place. She is the kind of person we should support, and the kind of person we should be drawing in to the STEEM ecosystem. We don't need more people trying to game the economic structure while sharing copy/pasted garbage and buying votes. We need people who just want to write and engage with other writers. That is why @scribblingramma deserves recognition and an ounce of Steem Silver.

Thank you so much for the nomination and the kind words! You're quite right: I don't exactly understand cryptocurrency, but I'm primarily here to scribble, not to try to get rich quick. As for my computer skills, I am delighted that I learned how to insert images into a Steemit post and center them. It was a major accomplishment. (Thanks for the tutoring!)
