Dragons - Always a Good Time 🐉

I haven’t been posting much silver lately. Let’s remedy this.

Here we have a 2012 Provident Metals, year of the Dragon 🐲 round. This find from my LCS is 1 Troy oz. .999 pure. The obverse depicts a dragon facing the Chinese symbol for dragon.

According to Chinese zodiac, the dragon

represents authority and good fortune. It has the fifth position among the Chinese zodiac animals. People born in the year of the Dragon are powerful, kind-hearted, successful, innovative, brave, healthy courageous and enterprising. However, they tend to be conceited, scrutinizing, tactless, quick-tempered and over-confident. - Source

The round’s reverse features China’s Forbidden City, located in central Beijing. This world heritage site served as a palace for China’s emperors for nearly 500 years. Today the complex is a museum and houses the world’s largest collection of ancient wooden structures.

It's gorgeous! So many wavy lines <3

Dragons always look so fancy. Tons of intricate detail! 😍🐉

Nice round, It's a nice version of a dragon. The back is similar to panda. Good pick up.

I thought that about the back too! I suppose the Forbidden City is always going to look like itself. 😄

What a beautiful round! The Forbidden City is very well designed.
Do you know what is at the side of the dragon's name in Chinese? It is the Flaming Pearl. All dragons search for it because it represents immortality, wisdom, prosperity and energy.

I did not know that about the flaming pearl. Thank you for the info! ☺️🐉

Great drag-show 😜👍

😄😂😄🤣😂

💃🏼

Beauty of a dragon and I could not agree more with the title of this post! @slacker-stacker will love it as well! Love the Eastern Asian Dragon with its snake like body. This is the most common type however they also came in different animal forms from dogs to lions. Thanks for sharing!

Is @slacker-stacker a big dragon fan? @roxdude always loved dragons too, but he has been disappeared from steemit for maybe three months. Such a bummer.

Yes indeed he is. Check out his youtube channel Slacker Stacker and you will be able to see it very clear lol. This is true and now that you mention it I have wondered what happened to @roxdude. Thanks again!

That's a really cool round, so much details both on the dragon and The Forbidden City ! I like pretty much anything dragon tho 😍 Beautiful find.

Seriously. I need to pick up that UK double dragon coin. Also wondering if Perth Mint will put out a sequel to their 2018 dragon coin/bar. That is a super sweet dragon.
