Today we are going to share the 2nd most expensive silver item ever sold
A 1794-95 Flowing Hair Silver Dollar that sold for 10 million dollars in 2013, this coin experts believe was the first coin of this style struck by the U.S. Mint.

The Flowing Hair dollar was the first dollar coin issued by the United States federal government. This coin was minted in 1794 and 1795; its size and weight were based on the Spanish dollar with a Silver Content of 90% and total Silver Weight pf .7735 oz.. Which was popular at that time trade throughout the Americas.The Flowing Hair dollar, designed by Robert Scot, was initially produced in 1794, and again in 1795. In October 1795 the design was replaced by the Draped Bust dollar.

There was about 2000 minted, The coin was part of the Cardinal Collection, amassed by the collector Martin Logies. The Collection has been described as the “Old Masters” of coins struck during the earliest years of the U.S. Mint.
It is a little crazy to think about a $1 dollar coin being worth 10 million dollars, it is something we can all dream about!
